On-site security guards
Licensed security personnel are on site throughout opening hours. After-hours the facility is alarmed and monitored. No unsupervised access by staff or contractors.
Tagged & traced bags
Every bag receives a unique numbered tag at check-in. The tag is matched to your booking reference and a photo of the bag. At pickup, both must match plus your ID.
Photo ID required
Drop-off requires a government-issued photo ID. We sight and record the ID number — we do not retain copies of the document.
Insurance, in plain English
$5,000 per bag. Built in.
- Up to $5,000 per bag against loss, theft, fire, water damage and mishandling while in our care.
- Built into every booking — no add-on, no upsell.
- Items above the declared per-bag cap should be declared and insured separately.
Not covered
- Cash, bank cards and bearer instruments.
- Jewellery, watches or items valued above $500 each.
- Unaccompanied passports and original identity documents.
- Perishables, fresh food, or open beverages.
- Hazardous goods, fireworks, batteries above carry-on size, weapons, illegal goods.
- Live animals.
- Items that smell strongly (e.g. durian — yes, really).

Report within 24 hours of pickup
Email hello@alphaluggagestorage.com.au with your booking reference and a photo of the bag tag.

You'll receive a claim reference and a request for any additional details (proof of purchase, valuation, etc).

Resolution within 14 business days
Approved claims are paid by bank transfer within 14 business days of approval.

Terms of service
By making a booking you agree to these terms. We provide a staffed luggage storage service at the location confirmed in your booking. You are responsible for ensuring all items presented are legal and non-hazardous. We may refuse storage at our discretion if items present a risk to staff, the facility, or other customers. Storage fees accrue daily until pickup. Cancellations are free up to one hour before drop-off; no-shows are charged in full.Privacy
We collect your name, contact details, payment data (handled by our payment processor), and a sighting of your photo ID at drop-off. We do not retain copies of ID documents. Booking and contact data is retained for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. CCTV footage is retained for 30 days unless required for a security or claim investigation. We do not sell your data. Full Australian Privacy Act compliance.Refunds
Free cancellation up to 1 hour before drop-off. Cancellations after that window forfeit the first day's storage fee. Service interruptions caused by us are refunded in full. Disputes can be raised by email — we aim to respond within 24 hours.Prohibited items (full list)
Cash, bank cards, jewellery and watches valued over $500 each, original identity documents, perishables, hazardous goods, fireworks, large lithium batteries, weapons, illegal substances, live animals, items that emit strong odours. We may inspect bags at our discretion if we suspect prohibited items are present.
